Pelvic floor physical therapy is therapy that takes on a holistic approach including gait, posture, strength and flexibility with a focus on symptoms that relate to pelvic floor dysfunction. These can include pain, difficulty with bowel and bladder, sensations of heaviness, prolapse, labor and delivery preparation as well as recovery from vaginal and cesarean sections deliveries.

All treatments are 55 minute sessions, one on one with Andrea. During that time she will listen and ask questions to get a full understanding of your health history. She will also spend time completing a full evaluation in order to create an individual exercise and rehabilitation treatment plan that you will receive that day.

Belle Pelvic PT is considered an out-of-network provider. Each appointment is a full hour dedicated completely to you - in order to do so, we function as a fee-for-service provider with payment due at the time of your visit. Upon request, we would be happy to provide you with an itemized superbill that you then submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Many insurance providers will provide some level of reimbursement for out-of-network expenses. In addition, out-of-network expenses can be paid using funds from your HSA, FSA, or HRA. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider prior to your visit to verify out-of-network benefits/coverage for possible reimbursement after your visit.

No, Massachusetts is considered a “direct access” state meaning that in order to come to physical therapy you do not need a prescription from a referring physician. If you are currently working with a physician I am happy to communicate with them as needed.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy due to the time it takes to fill a slot for another patient. The cost for a cancellation within 24 hours of your treatment is a flat rate of $100. If a second cancellation within 24 hours occurs the full cost of service will be charged. Ultimately, our goal is to see patients and help them get better. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our policy, please contact us so that we can discuss them further.

No, if you are more comfortable, there is a lot that can be accomplished, improved and evaluated without an internal exam. That being said, in order to get a complete picture of a patient's symptoms and dysfunction, it is helpful to perform an internal exam in conjunction with a full evaluation.

All new patients to the practice need an initial evaluation in order to fully assess the scope of your concerns and understanding of your goals.

Even if you are menstruating there are plenty of options to treat a patient without the internal portion of the evaluation or therapy.

In addition to pelvic floor physical therapy services, I am certified in dry needling and have nearly 10 years of experience in general orthopedics. If you are struggling with neck, back or other joint related pain I would be happy to evaluate and treat these conditions as well.
